4 Tips on Maintaining Your Faith

Hey! I know in today's world, with everything happening, it is easier for the ways of the world to consume us. Truth be told, I think we're all tired.

Isaiah 41:10 says:
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Dealing with everything life has thrown at me has sometimes taken its toll. We can get so overwhelmed with life that we forget what Philippians 4 teaches.

As my relationship with Christ deepens, the Holy Spirit has taught me a lot about coming to him just as I am, and I want to share these with you in hopes that you are encouraged to go to God as you are.

  1. PRAY!

Prayer can be difficult for a lot of people, especially those of us who are always in our heads and allowing the enemy to whisper its lies.

We must pray, even when we don't feel like it. The Bible says "in all things give thanks" so even though you don't know what you pray about, just say "thank you Jesus" and  pray a prayer of thanks because when you find yourself in the space of gratitude, it'll lead you to more gratitude and to a better alignment with the Holy Spirit on how to proceed with your prayer.

2.  READ YOUR BIBLE!

Reading the Bible is very important for our spiritual life, rather than overthinking go to the Word. My go to Chapters are Psalm 23, 24, 27, 91, 121. They are very powerful chapters that will empower your day. I know some people find it difficult to read their Bible, and honestly that's ok. God knows all, that's why he put it in someones heart to not only create an app, so people who didn't want to carry around their Bible will have their Bible with them on their devices then to make it all better, with the Bible app, you can also have it read to you with the KJV & NIV translation. See! modern solution to a modern problem. God never leaves us, and doesn't make us feel bad, He'll always make sure we have a way to connect to him.

3.  WORSHIP!

Worshipping the Lord is a most important thing to me. Like I have said before, worship always invites the Holy Spirit in, which will always lead me to pray & read my Bible. So yes worship the Lord! and if you can't start it off, find a song that is Spirit-filled and start there. Listening to Worship songs will always open the door for more worship. check out some of my blogs for songs I have curated.

4.  REACH OUT!

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 says "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.

Proverb 27;17 also says "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another."

There are many passages in the Bible that tells us that we were not created to be alone, many that tell us how important it is not to isolate yourself. The Bible says "For where two or three gather in my name, there I am with them.” when you surround yourself with people who are Christ minded, and Christ like like you, the Holy Spirit is always with you so talk to people who have the Holy Spirit. Guess what?! you can talk to the Holy Spirit like you are talking to a friend because he is. I know a lot of people may see it has complaining but it is very much ok to lock yourself up in your prayer room, closet, bathroom and just talk to Christ, cry, scream, vent out all your frustrations that the enemy is reminding you off daily, let it all out. He knows all things so this is for you because it is better to let it all out than keep it stored up for the devil to use as his playground and cause you to do things that are not of God. don't isolate yourself please.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE!❤️
