WHERE THE PEACEFUL ONES GO.

What is it to be peaceful, or to have peace? what is the definition of peace? peace is defined as having freedom from disturbance or a state or period in which there is no war or a war has ended.

So where do we go to know true peace? the only place to go, is to Christ Jesus.

Mathew 11:28 says: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

What is it to have rest? To have rest is to refresh oneself or to recover strength.

Having peace in Christ, what does it mean?

when you look at the meaning of peace, it is defined as having freedom and being free of disturbance. one of the meanings of being free, is to have liberation from the power of another. When something has power over you, what does that mean for you? it could mean that it controls you, or has a stronghold over you, it influences you in what you may do, say or think. When something has power over you that is not of God, it can cause a disturbance to your mind, spirit, or your connection with Christ. Disturbance is defined as the interruption of a settled and peaceful condition, when something is disturbing you, it takes you away from a calm or/and peaceful mindset, and puts your mind in a place of war between the what the problem is, how you can fix it and how quickly can it be done, which translates to worry, fear, anxiety.

How do we find rest in Christ?

what is it to refresh ourselves and recover our strength? when you feel refreshed, you feel at ease, and you are free from all tension and anxiousness. When you recover your strength, you find and regain something which you have lost.

Jesus said come to him, all who have anxiety, stress, worry, fear, the overwhelming worrier, the ones who are weary, hearts and minds are disturbed from the troubles of the world, all of us who the everyday struggle has taken control of, the ones whose overwhelming thoughts of what tomorrow brings have taken over, the over-thinkers have let it influence their decision making for the worst, the ones who are at war with themselves, with their demons, the ones who the enemies have been toying with, Jesus said come to him and you will find what you have been longing for.

The strength God has given us can only be replenished and refilled through him. Like anything that uses a charge, you must always recharge. When your phone is going dead, you find the nearest charging port and charge it, right? when the remote is going dead or dying we must always change the batteries for it to function at its full capacity correct? you can't use any electronics without it staying plugged in for a constant power supply or without it needing to recharge, that is who we as children of God are. We are beings who need our constant power source(The Holy Spirit) and we must recharge or/and stay plugged in(reading the Bible), for us to function physically and spiritually at our full capacity.

The void you are trying to feel can only be filled by Jesus Christ. The missing link can only be made whole by he who made you. John 1 says:

"In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has yet to overcome it."

Stress, anxiety, worry, fear, sadness, depression, and panic, are all a type of darkness, and Jesus is the Light that darkness has yet to overcome.

As a follower of Christ, we are the peaceful ones, the peace we have and hold on to for dear life is Jesus, and we go where that peace goes. we replenish ourselves by keeping our minds in him with the Bible, prayers, and worship, whichever way we can stay connected to him. When a tree is deeply rooted, its connection runs deep it is firmly established, a thing or person that is deeply rooted has been existing for a long time it is very difficult to change or move. when You are deeply rooted in Christ, no matter how much the wind blows, it may remove some branches, it may shake you but it will never uproot you because your roots are so deep in Christ all you can do is stand firm.

Your strength and freedom can only be secured in Christ, for you to stay charged you must plug into the word, for you to break away from the shackles of the world and its woes, you must first find peace, and the only true peace which breeds love, joy, and mercy is Jesus.

4 Tips on Maintaining Your Faith

Hey! I know in today's world, with everything happening, it is easier for the ways of the world to consume us. Truth be told, I think we're all tired.
