5 WAYS TO BETTER YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST

Life isn't meant to be easy, but Christ came to give us a way out, to give us peace through the storm, and to give us the strength to get through this life in one piece.

The woes of the world are many, everyone is going through something, everyone has a battle that they are fighting and as Christians, we are not exempt from those woes, we falter, we are weak and one thing away from a breakdown but we cry to our Father in heaven, who then replenishes us with all that we need.

2 Corinthians 12: 8Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Here are 5 ways you can better your relationship with Christ

  1. Understand that you are ready just the way you are

We assume that we have to reach a certain point of "Holiness", or perfection for us to build our relationship with Christ. We need to remove the illusion that we have to be perfect when in truth, building a stronger connection with Christ is the only way we can reach that stage we seek. You do not have to prepare for the Lord, the Lord prepares you, he molds you, nourishes, replenishes you, makes you ready to seek him more and more, and gives you the grace and wisdom to understand. It is the voice of the enemies, telling you that you're not ready, as a child of God, I am here to tell you that you are there is nothing for you to prove, just go to him as you are.

     2. Remember that God loves you

To be honest with you that is first and foremost, JESUS LOVES YOU! There is nothing in this world that you can do or say that can take God's love away from you, or make him love you any less NOTHING! God made you and was pleased when he saw you, he knew you before you were born, he knows your heart, your unspoken words and it does not take his love from you. When you know someone loves you, you can be yourself right? that is how you can be with Christ because he loved you first before he gave you someone on earth to manifest his love, he is the one true love and God's love never fails.

     3. read your bible

For an unknown reason, people think you can read the Bible like you read any other book, well you can not. The Bible is so vast, one verse can send five different messages, depending on what God wants you to hear in that situation, and sadly they are people misinterpreting the Bible for their earthly gains, but that is between them and God, and that is why you must go to the Bible yourself, let God speak to you through The Word. No matter the situation, whether I am overjoyed or overwhelmed, God always has a verse or chapter for that situation because that is how amazing God is, always wants us to know we are not alone, he is with us no matter what.

We are Christians, which means we follow Christ and strive to be like him, and live like him, so we must know and understand the life of Christ, and to do that we must read the New Testament, specifically Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

     4. prayer

It is important to pray, but what is prayer? Prayer is an interaction with God, which can be done on a one-on-one basis or with a group, it can be a request to God or to say thank you and it can also be a way to reassure yourself of the Love of God and renew your faith. to interact with God is a way to communicate with Christ directly from your heart to his ears, it is a way to find peace in who God is. When we pray we renew our connection with Christ and reassert God's dominance in our hearts.

   5. Praise and worship

This right here Is very dear to my heart because God created me to be a worshipper, it is one of my callings and in my experience, this ties everything together. When you start your praise and worship, it can start from your mouth or the many songs that are infused with the Holy Spirit, and this always leads to more worship, then to prayer, hearing a word from the Holy Spirit from the Bible, reassurance of who I am in Christ and more. Praising the name of the Lord puts me in such a peaceful place, it removes me from all the clutter and mud of the world, and allows me to feel renewed and restored, it puts a strong shield around me that blocks everything that is not of God out.

God is always speaking, whether you hear him or not, he is always there just waiting for you to tune in. Hearing from the Holy Spirit can be described as when you are searching for a specific channel on the radio, finding the right frequency so you can hear that channel properly. That channel is always on even when you can't seem to find it, but it's up to you if you want to give up because it's taking too long to siphon through the noise to get to the right channel. After all, if you can get through the noise and tune in to the Holy Frequency, it will be life-changing and I'm sure you would add it to your favorites so you do not need to search too far to hear it.
