ITS NOT SELFLESS TO LOVE GOD

Why do we think we are doing God a favor by loving, trusting, and obeying him?

I want us all to remove the idea that God needs every single one of us out of our minds, the truth is he doesn't. the Bible says "many are called but a few are chosen", which means there are a lot more people out there God can choose to use for his glory. It is an honor to be called, it is an anointing and blessing to be chosen. We take for granted what it is to be favored, we think it is either because we have done everything right in the sight of God, or because we are too holy. A lot of people who "do good" are not doing good, why you ask? because they are taking advantage of the people who need help and using that as a way to show people that they are helping the needy, it doesn't come from their hearts, it comes from what they think they can gain from doing that "good deed".

Mathew 6: 2-4 2  “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.3But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,4so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

I always say that we should see ourselves the way God sees us because there are so many people who are God's chosen, and many more who God has called, but they do not see that favor in their lives because people have lied to them for a very long time about who they are. We don't ask to be called or be part of the chosen, the fact is God knew you before you were born and he has sent you here on an assignment. God is a merciful, loving God and will give you everything you need as a loving father would, but do not take that for granted. We do ourselves a favor by allowing God to use us to be a blessing to others or to do everything we need to glorify the kingdom of God.

I promise you, there will always be someone who will spread the word of God or finish the assignment he has asked you to do. You are doing yourself a favor when you obey regardless of your feelings, I assure you when you obey God the blessings and peace that follow are immense.

It is not selfless to serve God, if you love yourself and want the best for yourself and everyone you love, then that is your best route. For me personally, I serve God because of the peace he has given me because I wake up everything and I choose God every day, and because of that he keeps me, he provides for me, he protects me, even though people feel like they don't need God, I promise you, you do.

People are walking around in the world right now not knowing the anointing they carry, the fact that you are alive is proof enough that God loves you, its not because you have done anything specifically, or you have done anything in exchange for it, God keeps you because he can, and it is up to us to accept that mercy and share it with everyone.

People are searching for something right now, looking for something to fill that void, and no matter what earthly thing they find, they are never satisfied, they still feel like something is missing, and there is nothing they can do to feel whole and that is because they only thing that can make us whole is Christ Jesus.

You are called to do more for your life, and to live a more fulfilled life, a life that may not be easy but with this life, there is always light at the end of the tunnel, there is always a calm after the storm, there is someone to lean on, someone to guide you, guard you and be there for you always.

Do yourself a favor, and get to know God, build a personal relationship with Christ because I promise it's for your own good.

4 Tips on Maintaining Your Faith

Hey! I know in today's world, with everything happening, it is easier for the ways of the world to consume us. Truth be told, I think we're all tired. Isaiah 41:10 says: So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Dealing with everything life has thrown at me has sometimes taken its toll. We can get so overwhelmed with life that we forget what Philippians 4 teaches. As my relationship with Christ deepens, the Holy Spirit has taught me a lot about coming to him just as I am, and I want to share these with you in hopes that you are encouraged to go to God as you are. PRAY! Prayer can be difficult for  a lot of people, especially those of us who are always in our heads and allowing the enemy to whisper its lies.  We must pray, even when we don't  feel like it.
