THE TRUTH ABOUT CHRISTMAS

 Why do you celebrate Christmas?

Is it for the gifts? santa? Do you know the real reason for the season?

Christmas is an annual event that occurs every 25th of every December. December 25th is one of the days the followers of Christ chose to celebrate the birth of Christ. There are other days that different denominations of Christians decided to celebrate his birth, but the majority celebrate on the 25th.

Through time it feels like many people who celebrate Christmas do not know why that day exists.

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

ISAIAH 9:6 NIV

Christmas is a day of celebration. The day Christ was born was the beginning of God's promise to his children manifested. God promised us grace, and the birth of Christ was the start of the grace that has continued through time.

When you are celebrating, you celebrate with the people that understand what you are celebrating, you celebrate with friends or family because Christmas is about Christ Jesus, and celebrating with the body of Christ is celebrating with family.

Exchanging gifts on Christmas is amazing we show each other that we love and appreciate each other, but we must never forget the reason we gathered in the first place.

The question I asked this year was, why is the meaning of Christmas being warped? why is it ok for whoever to believe what they believe and have their faith respected, but Christians constantly have to defend themselves? why do we have to compromise Christmas? If you don't believe in CHRIST, why are you celebrating CHRISTmas?

Christmas is not about Santa. santa was derived from a saint who people adored for his kindness. It sincerely has nothing to do with Christmas.  It's a great idea, to hold someone who did things for his community in high regard, but not higher than Jesus.

Giving gifts and having a good day on Christmas is amazing, that's what we should do but we must remember why we are celebrating that day.

As Christians, it is our duty to tell people about Christ. This new generation may not have an idea of what being a Christian truly is, and why we celebrate what we celebrate.

We should not let the ways of the world consume Christ, we must always remind ourselves and people around us who we are in Christ.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🎊

May the promises of God we have held on to, be established in our lives. In Jesus name, Amen

Jesus performed numerous miracles, including healing the sick, feeding the hungry, and raising the dead. He was crucified on a cross at Golgotha (Calvary) and died to atone for the sins of humanity (Matthew 27:32-56). 4 Tips on Maintaining Your Faith

Hey! I know in today's world, with everything happening, it is easier for the ways of the world to consume us. Truth be told, I think we're all tired. Isaiah 41:10 says: So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Dealing with everything life has thrown at me has sometimes taken its toll. We can get so overwhelmed with life that we forget what Philippians 4 teaches. PRAY! Prayer can be difficult for  a lot of people, especially those of us who are always in our heads and allowing the enemy to whisper its lies.  We must pray, even when we don't  feel like it. The  Bible says "in all things give thanks" so even though you don't know what you pray abou
